The 512K added more RAM to the original 128K Macintosh.
Unfortunately, SCSI still was not available. The additional RAM
allowed developers to create more powerful software for the
Macintosh platform. The Macintosh was coming into its own. With
the addition of powerful desktop publishing software from Aldus
and Adobe, coupled with Apple's LaserWriter printer, the Macintosh
found its niche.
