From the useless but true file, Apple's System 7.5 (Version 7.5.3) Jigsaw Puzzle DA can do more than you may have thought. Let's be honest, the Jigsaw Puzzle DA is designed for people who want to waste time but haven't got a copy of Mac Man installed.

Jigsaw Puzzle is a simple puzzle that comes installed as an Apple Menu Item with System 7.5. It replaces the older Puzzle DA that came with 7.1. I bet you didn't know that you can puzzle any PICT file. At the Apple Menu, select File/Open and then select the PICT file you wish to challenge yourself with. The window will automatically resize itself to the dimensions of the PICT file.

If you are fond of the original world map, simply choose Edit/Clear from the Apple Menu. This will reset the game with the original world map. You can't write over the default PICT file. That would require you to crack open the DA with ResEdit to change the resource.

If you haven't got a PICT file handy, a JPEG or GIF can be converted to a PICT using AppleWorks. Be sure to change the Quality setting to low or least. Otherwise, you might end up with a very big PICT file.
