ImageWriter II


The ImageWriter II can be set to accept regular paper or track paper. If set to accept regular paper, you can only load one page at a time unless you have an Apple SheetFeeder attachment. The image below shows the Paper Release Lever set for pin-feed. This is necessary if you are going to use track paper. Otherwise, set the Paper Release Lever to friction-feed to load regular paper.

(Click) Feeding track paper into an ImageWriter II:




1. Lift off front cover.
2. Front cover removed.
3. Lift off back cover.




4. All covers removed.
5. Open paper clamps over tractors. Not shown here: it may be necessary to release tractors to align paper over the alignment notch.
6. Put track paper in tractor pins and close paper clamps.




7. Paper seated and ready to feed.
8. Turn platen knob to advance paper. It is also possible to use the form feed button instead of advancing it by hand.
9. It may be necessary to slightly lift the paper bail bar over the platen to advance the paper under it.




10. Paper fed around the platen and ready to use.
11. Put back cover on.
12. Put front cover on.




13. Ready to print.
